Tip No. 7
Q.What are illegal questions that a job interviewer cannot ask in a job interview?
A. Asking about marital status, or the number and ages of children a person has is blatantly illegal. Even so, illegal questions will come up from time to time. Pointing out the illegal nature of the question, or refusing to answer an illegal question will probably not advance your cause. An effective response might be: "I'm sure you're asking that question to get a feel for my ability to be flexible with a work schedule. I think you'll find, when you check my record, that my attendance, performance and commitment level have been my strongest attributes."
