When Solvay Polymers hired Career Management InternationalÆ to enhance the performance of one of their plant leadership teams, they didn't expect to have to solve a murder. Of course, they didn't expect to be transported to medieval times to discuss their interpersonal dynamics either.
Solvay Polymers is the latest of a growing number of companies to experience CMI's popular Kingdomality™ Series. The program, used by AT&T, General Motors, Bristol Myers Squibb and Marriott International among others, helps work teams better utilize their team member's style and strengths to meet organizational objectives. Using the medieval kingdom as a metaphor for today's corporate world, the participants laugh as they learn and discover their unique contribution to the team.
Solvay's team experienced a unique twist...of the knife! On the evening between the two days of classroom training, team members and their spouses experienced "A Murder in the Kingdom". The group participated in a medieval themed murder mystery while learning more about the way they work together to solve problems. In the end the Solvay team has better defined their strengths and how to market this contribution to the organization and its customers.
In this age when taking two days for training can be "murder" on productivity, CMI's Kingdomality™ Series is "knockin' em dead"!
