Helpers and Explorers

Trainers for the Corporate Kingdom

For Immediate Release
June 15, 1998

Career Management International (CMI) recently participated in the American Society of Training and Development's (ASTD) annual conference held in San Francisco, California. Over 6,000 training professionals attendees from around the world makes this the largest training conference and exhibition of its kind in the country. More than a thousand visitors to CMI's presentation were able to participate in the company's unique Kingdomality™ assessment process. Individuals identified their personal preferences, learned which of a dozen characters they may have been in medieval times and were able to relate this information to today's corporate world.

Researchers at CMI continue to analyze the "medieval characteristics" of people taking the Personal Preference Profile at these conferences and trade shows. Not surprisingly, one fourth of the attendees at the ASTD conference were "Dreamer Minstrels" which are one of the types in the behavioral style group known in Kingdomality™ as Helpers. Helpers, who usually comprise approximately 60% of the general population, are genuinely concerned with human dynamics and enjoy working in harmonious environments.

CMI assessments also indicate that 35% of individuals taking the Kingdomality™ Personal Preference Profile are Explorers. Explorers are visionary leaders, fascinated by the future who seek out new experiences and savor jobs with little structure in the Corporate Kingdom. Richard Silvano, executive vice president of research and development for CMI, says "Kingdomality™ is non threatening and an easy way for people to understand their preferred style. CMI has used Kingdomality™ in many successful customized training seminars and programs that have improved the productivity and efficiency of companies in a cross section of industries."
