Own a business suit that got too small? Wonder why you bought a
certain skirt or blouse? Start your spring cleaning now. Search
that closet and you'll probably find more clothes and shoes that
you just don't wear. Would you like to get rid of these items,
but they are just too good to trash? Join Career Management
InternationalÆ (CMI) and Goodwill Industries in their drive to
collect business clothing and shoes to help those folks getting
back into the job market.
From now until the end of May, Goodwill Industries has designated CMI's offices at 3555 Timmons, Suite 700, Houston, Texas as a collection site for used or new, business wear for men and women. Angelika Reiss, a human resources analyst for CMI says "CMI is proud to volunteer their offices in support of Goodwill's continuing efforts to provide training, skills development and work opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. As a firm that guides people in career transitions, we realize the importance of being prepared for a job interview and we have observed the difference a boost in self-confidence can make." Karen Midlo, Manager of Community Promotions at Goodwill adds "It's important for us to effectively collaborate with companies like CMI that volunteer their office sites and their enthusiasm. Together we will reach our goal to increase the hiring rate among those who just need some extra help."
Career Management International (CMI) is celebrating its 22nd year of business.
