Ken Goodrick, Ph.D. who has been on the faculty of the Texas Medical Center since 1984 and is a former director of the University of Texas Health Science center, has recently completed a validation study of Career Management International's (CMI) Career Alignment Profile™. Dr. Goodrick found that the CAP™, in addition to its ease of use and relatively simple test design, provides results comparable to other established career direction assessment methods which require extensive client time for completion.
"The Career Alignment Profile™" says Richard Silvano, its developer and head of research and development for CMI, "is designed to guide participants through a simple process which accurately identifies, defines and colors their marketable interests, abilities and work styles. The program then uses the data to provide specific career directions to persons seeking employment, to current employees planning career progression and to human resource professionals endeavoring to place the right person in the right job."
Dr. Goodrick also found that 92% of clients that have tested with the CAP™ have gone on to career paths characterized by a high level of job satisfaction and success as measured by earnings and job longevity. "This superb level of predictive validity adds a new dimension and has great potential in the area of career counseling", Dr. Goodrick stated.
