Career Management InternationalÆ (CMI) has been awarded a three
month contract by the Alamo Workforce Development, Inc. (AWD) to
provide crisis counseling to approximately 6,000 workers and
their families affected by the realignment of Kelly Air Force
Base (KAFB) in San Antonio, Texas. Individual counseling
services, provided by licensed professional counselors, are
available on site to all workers affected by the base closure.
Under the contract, CMI will also provide crisis management team
support in the event of circumstances that may arise which would
adversely affect the workers at KAFB.
Previously, CMI was contracted by AWD to provide career transition workshops for the affected workers. Seminars on resume writing stress management financial management and labor market information for successful interviewing and future career success were part of the program. Peter Linden, Director of Marketing for CMI says, "We are extremely pleased to continue our relationship with the Alamo Workforce Development and the workers at Kelly Air Force Base.
