Contact: Melany Roberts Barlow 713-623-8780
Career Management International, Inc. (CMI) recently exhibited at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) 2003 Annual Convention/Expo held June 1-4 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The EEI annual convention is the nation's largest gathering of energy professionals and is devoted to addressing industry concerns, trends and challenges.
CMI representatives spent time addressing pressing energy industry training needs with attendees, including change management, organizational development and executive coaching. Top management and executives in the energy sector visited the CMI booth and participated in CMI's unique proprietary assessment process, Kingdomality. Professional career specialists assisted these individuals in identifying their personal preferences, translated those characteristics into traits used to describe any of 12 medieval characters in the "olde" kingdom, then related their "medieval personality" to today's corporate world. One attendee was overheard to say, "I am intrigued by the deceptive simplicity of Kingdomality; I can see direct applications for this training in my organization in team building and coaching."
Decision makers attending EEI tested overwhelmingly as Prime Ministers, Black Knights and Discoverers, all leaders of growth and change in the medieval kingdom. When asked what Kingdomality could accomplish within their organization, Susan Silvano, CEO of CMI and co-developer of Kingdomality, responded "In general, Kingdomality enables program participants to - in a non-threatening way - understand their operational styles, the operational styles of their co-workers and why the strengths of each and every individual are important to the success of the team. Important to the bottom line, Kingdomality has been designed by CMI to be more than simply a training event - it has been designed to provide its clients with a process for continuous improvement and improved communications which will last long after the education has been completed. Kingdomality is a tool that, when consciously deployed, will last for the life of the organization."
