Supports The Women's Home in Houston

HOUSTON - (June 17, 2004) - Career Management International, Inc. (CMI) is taking part in ongoing career workshops with The Women's Home in Houston.

Becky Hall, CFO with CMI is conducting group and individual career workshops for the clients of The Women's Home. Hall and other members of the Zonta Club of Houston began working with The Women's Home in March 2004 to offer support for the career needs of their clients.

CMI donated 200 comprehensive career transition workbooks to The Women's Home to aid them in their mission: "to help women in crisis regain their self-esteem and dignity, empowering them to return to society as productive, self-sufficient individuals." CMI's career transition program, which has been provided to over 30,000 separating employees of major corporations and government agencies, is designed to assist individuals to re-examine their interests, abilities, and environmental preferences so that the job search is directed into career areas that are a good match for each individual. This type of careful career planning supports long term career success, which is so integral to personal equilibrium and career/life balance.

Hall began by assisting the clients to define their strengths and create a marketable definition for themselves. "Developing strong, marketing resumes and polishing their interviewing and salary negotiation skills are also a key part of what all women need to know to be successful in their careers," Hall stated. "We are working closely with the women of The Women's Home to ensure they have the tools that they need to be successful."

CMI recognizes the substantial corporate investment in human capital and delivers effective programs required by businesses, government and academia to maximize the return on that investment. Founded in 1976, CMI is headquartered in Houston and has offices throughout the United States. CMI's staff utilizes their creative energy to focus on providing customized solutions to current business challenges.
