Enterprising Women Magazine Honors top Women Entrepreneurs!
HOUSTON February 14, 2005: Career Management International, Inc. (CMI) President, Susan Silvano, was recently honored by Enterprising Women Magazine as a finalist for the 2005 Enterprising Women Award. Enterprising Women Magazine held a gala reception on Friday, Feb. 11 at the American Adventure Rotunda at Disney's Epcot, and a breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Disney's Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa where Silvano and 13 other finalists with outstanding entries were recognized among the country's top women entrepreneurs. Winners were chosen from hundreds of entries, based on the growth and profitability of the enterprise, the leadership characteristics of the owner, the nominees outreach and mentoring of other women-owned firms, and the owner's vision for the future of her business. The winners represent a diverse range of businesses, from the manufacturer of forced-entry/ballistic resistant buildings in Louisiana to a leading lumber supplier in the Northeast to Silvano's CMI, a pioneering and innovative provider of outplacement services on a global basis. Silvano said, "since 1976, my company has been an industry leader and major provider of Career Transition and Outplacement Services to major corporations, federal, state, and local governments, health care organizations, manufacturing businesses, insurance companies, publishing firms, and academia. We deliver consistent quality globally by maintaining partnerships and regional offices throughout the United States and abroad. CMI is truly different in this industry, and I am proud to be honored for the success of my company and our contribution to other women in business." Throughout her career, Susan's interests and abilities have focused on assisting individuals to maximize their vocational potential for personal and professional growth and development. In addition to leading her successful company, Susan pioneers research for new product development and for automated development applications for CMI's Career Alignment Profile (CAP) and Kingdomality®. Susan's most recent accomplishment is the publication of Kingdomality®: An Ingenious New Way to Triumph in Management, which she coauthored with best-selling author Sheldon Bowles and her husband and creator of Kingdomality, Richard Silvano.
